Unusual Sound
We I first drive my 1990 Vert, Auto it makes a sound which I think is Power Steering - It only makes it when I first turn the wheel and it doesn't matter which direction - the fluid is not low and no trouble steering - I'm thinking the pump is on the way out - anyone ran into this before?

Did it come on suddenly? Been to any shop where incorrect fluild could have been used? Quiky lube?
I assume you're NOT talking about the growl every PS system makes at extreme lock.

Could be the steeing has come down with a case of morning sickness. This is not the spooling up noise from the ABS brake system's "self brake test" @ 4MPH after the car is first started is it?
