Default A/C Compressor: Powdercoat or Paint

My first thoughts are to powdercoat the new compressor I got, has anyone done this? OR, has anyone had luck with a paint that hold up to the engine heat and still looks good over time?

Never taken a compressor completely apart, but I would think it would be a lot of work. Tough to beat powder for durability, though.
I painted mine with a can of caliper paint. Still looks good after a couple of years, as does the block with the same paint. If it can handle the heat from brakes, I'm guessing it will fair well.
I'm using black, so it is hard to tell what parts I painted and what parts I powder coated.

That is a thought, I may give that a try......I am really liking that Durashine powdercoating that Eldebrock is using, but I was going to settle for the polished look. Black probably would be the best looking over time though....hmmm, decisions....decisions
