I just finnished re-placing the bushings in the driver side. The headlamp assy works great. But, am getting power to the green wire to headlight motor with the headlight switch off. Is this wrong? Thanks for your input.
The motor has a beryllium switch inside and when the motor hits the stop it heats up and shuts off the motor. (This is why they keep running when the bushings are bad).
I’m not sure if the wire should have power to it or not, I don’t have a schematic here to look at. Maybe someone will chime in and if not shoot me an email and I’ll check a car. I won’t be in the office until Weds and this will only be a ½ a day for us. But I can have my guys in the shop tell me or check a car.
I think it should be hot all the time, but I don’t want to tell you wrong.
Mike, I tried to email you back and it was returned. Here is a copy of it.
Mike,
I won't be back in the office until Monday. I just got this email.
On Monday I'll pull the schematic and also have Vic in my shop check a car I own too! I believe that the motor wire should have power to it, in fact I almost positive but until I can make sure of it I don't want to go out on a limb. (My luck it would break).
I've flagged a note in my system to remind me Monday morning to check this.
