off the car TPS test
is there any way to test off the car,my scanner is indicating an additional 3 volts then the check engine light come on,dont wanna replace unless have to

You can check it with an analog ohm meter to see if it jumps around...the resitance will be higher at the closed postion and lower at WOT.....I'm not sure of the exact values off hand....I'm sure someone else will chime in soon.
