exhaust perf. question

After about a yr of my head ringing I am finally putting stock muffs back on. I have a 94 auto w/ x pipe and tune and the other little bolt ons. Will going back to stock hurt my 1/4 time? I honestly felt like the car was faster stock... oh yeah I have aero turbine 2525 muffs they are basically a glorified glasspack.

From what I remember about mufflers, glass packs don't flow that well. Nor do chambered. Do some 1/4 mile runs before and after changing them!

with everything on it now I ran a 13.6 (g tech) with a lot of tire spin we will see after they go back on I guess

You did not say if you have headers. If you do not have headers the exhaust set up you have on your car right now doesn't have enough back pressure. Thats why you feel a loss of power. Glass packs offer no back pressure gains. Either headers or a good chambered muffler should fix the problem

no headers, so will putting the stock back on make it feel faster? I know the stock muffs on lt1's were supposed to flow pretty good right?
