Do the headlights or the motor run off of vacumm? I noticed when I put the hood on my 85 that it has hook ups for a vacumm hose. Is this suppose to be on to work. They dont work right now, as in the lights popping up out of the hood. The lights work just not the motor. Any ideas?

I believe all the C4 pop-up lights were electrical. If they are not working, but the motor is making noise, it maybe that your headlight bushings are toast. Check the sticky at the top of C4 tech to see if your symptoms match.

Nope, they are electric motors. I don't remember vacuum hookups, but a pic may help.

As for the lights not flipping up, what do they do when you turn them on? If they try to turn, or you can hear the motor running, it may be headlight bushings or gears. The bushings are a common problem, but they usually go pretty gradually, giving a fair amount of warning.

Traced it down to bad relays. Any ideas of a place with cheap headlight motor relays? Or are they cheap?
