Default valve cover gasket replacement

Hi all, I need to replace valve cover gaskets on a 92 LT1 and the FSM says to remove the fuel rails and the A.I.R. pipes. Seems like a pain in the butt so I was wondering if anyone has accomplished this without removeing all that. The clearances look tight but it seems that it might be possible. Also, if the A.I.R. pipes need to come out is there any place to get the correct gasket for reconnection to the intake manifold other than the dealer?

Thanks

you don't need to remove the fuel rails. You will need to remove the air pipe on the passenger side and you will need to move the alternator and a/c comp on the drivers side. I am looking at doing this to my 92 in the next week or so. I've already done it once to replace the valve covers and I'm hoping the second time's easier with experience.

good luck
