Shocks for an 88
I have read a lot about different shocks for my 35th Anni. I don't race it except a fund-raiser for top speed once a year. (Sig Picture) Just a cruise Vette, used mostly on weekends. I have original shocks and even though they don't leak after 20 years I would like to replace them. Any suggestions?

I asked this same question a last week on a thread and the general consensus was that the KYB shocks are a good bang for the buck

I just replaced mine with bilsteins. Next time (if ever) I'd probably try the KYB's because of the price.

I put bilsteins back on. Felt GM did it for a reason and original appearance. Very happy with handling. I think you will find yours were bad.

That said, my 35th Anna came (in 2000) with KYBs so I just replaced them with new KYBs last year.

if your watching the budget.. go with the KYB's.. else go with the Bilstenis, most sets will be around $300.00.
For those Bilstenis, you can go standard suspension ones for a bit softer ride (as compared to the Z51 option ones) or go HD/Z51 for a bit stiffer ride. The mount are the same.. only the valving is different.
