Default Small Problem

My 90 Automatic Vert has a battery cable buildup which every three or four months I will have to take cables loose and wire brush and clean up terminals and cables and retighten. Is there something I can put on cables that will stop this problem?
Thanks

Interesting. Does this sounds like there is some kind of grounding issue? Bad battery?

Battery is not dead just terminals corroded - when I clean and reattach the problem is over for say three months.

Remove the battery cable and clean the connector extremely well and slap some vasoline between the cable and the battery terminal and tighten her back down. The battery lug bolts on the cables can be replaced if yours are damaged....push them out the back and push some new ones in.

I'd be investigating whether there is a crack or leak in the seal around the battery post/terminal. Is there any indication that the battery is leaking - wettness on the bottom? Otherwise, some dielectric grease on the terminal(s) might solve the problem.
