He was asking if the intake runner on 113 heads takes a [FelPro] 1204 intake gasket. And, it does. (Unless ported bigger of course!)

FYI: 1205 isn't a lot bigger which means it's easy to port out to a 1205 too.

I've never seen anything like it, but I've also never pulled a car apart that's this old.
It was never the entire gasket that gave me any trouble, just sections of it. Basically 3/4 of the gasket material came off easily and the other 1/4 fit the discription of expoy'd.

I am getting close to wrapping un the grinding and I have a couple new questions

My manifold base has small holes in the runners. How do I make sure I have gotten all of the shavings out of there?

I am considering pressure washing the base and I am guessing the sensors need to removed. What kind of sealant is used on them for the reinstallation?

wow, this sounds all to familiar.

I am going through this exact same thing, however I did pull the trigger on the FIRST intake. (sitting in my garage now waiting for me to polish it).

It started with wanting a bit more power - so start with intake....my valve seals are leaking so need seals and springs....got the bigger intake need to do more exhaust ...pricing headers.... hmmm intake and exhaust off - touching the heads - maybe pull them and pocket port, port match, thinner gasket for 10:1 - have valves back cut.... hmmm.. intake and heads off, just cam across the crane cam and lifters for dirt cheap....

I am not sure If I will ever get it back on the road once I start!!!!

I am very interested in the head porting discussion here though..

I need to replace the sensor underneath and at the back of the plenum (IAT?) Is this the right part?
