No Damper
I've seen several posts on the Z28 forum where an under-drive pulley is installed without a damper.

I can't figure out how they do this -- the LT1 damper and pulley are one unit. Are they using an UD pulley from an L98?
Without a damper, even on a stock engine, you can do severe damage due to torsional vibration.
Torsional vibration can be extremely destructive.
It easily can:
1) Snap timing chains.
2) Shear cam bolts.
3) On the LT1, destroy water pump drive teeth.
4) Cause Opti-Spark rotors to break from chatter.
