6 speed trans. As of the last time I drove it, clutch was fine, engagement occured near the top of the pedal. Sat for 3 weeks. Took it to a friends and did some work, didnt seem so at first, but over the last 24 hours, the clutch is not engaging until the pedal is almost at the floor. Clutch seems to grab normally, i just have 3 or 4 inches of play up top that did not exist before.
In the course of our work, we did a racetronix wiring kit, and ran the wires up the inside of the drivers side of the engine bay. We zip tied to wires / lines going up. If we ziptied to one of the clutch lines and got it too tight, would this restrict pressure going to the slave cylinder, thus creating the symptoms i am seeing?
Also did a CAGS bypass. Would any of this cause this to happen, or did i suddenly wear my clutch out in about 20 miles of mixed driving, with no hard launches? Fluid seems normal, no leaks under the car, not sure what is going on.
call Bill at www.zfdoc.com read the clutch slave post on this site and then call Bill. GM has quit making the 91 thru 96 clutch slaves due to so many QC failures, Rock Auto has a good cast non GM slave that will Not leak. Hope this helps.
