Hi all, I have a 92 coupe and I am trying to adjust the pass side headlight door...I know I can unscrew rubber stopper to adjust one way, but I need to adjust the other way...i.e. bottom of door (looking from top of hood) needs to go down a little...it's popping up just a smidge...any input...would be great...DDBS
There are 4 screws that are used to adjust the up/down alignment of the cover. I have done this on my '94, and the only way I could do it was to remove the light assembly from the car. 2 of the 4 screws are located to the right and left of the rubber stopper, so these are no problem. The other 2 are located on the inside of the assembly(nearest front of vehicle). I think these are the 2 screws you need to loosen to adjust the cover for your particular alignment problem.
It only takes 5 minutes to remove the light assembly from the vehicle.

If you just loosen the 2 screws near the rubber stopper, you can see that the cover can slide a little bit up or a little bit down.....
I wanted mine to be perfect, so that is why I went to the trouble of remving the entire assembly. I wanted my lamp panels to be perfectly flush with the hood... It's worth the little bit of effort involved... These screws seem to loosen up over time, and I think that is why I see so many C4's with covers that just don't look right.
