Please tell me I ordered the correct one's (1305-16). I got these for $249.95 with free shipping brand new in the box. I think I'm still in shock at the price. The description is pasted below. I also ordered a set of ARP 7/16 studs (134-7103) for $37 with free shipping. They didnt have the Trick Flow guideplates (30400623-8) but those are pretty cheap anywhere.
"DESCRIPTION:
SB Chevy Pro Magnum Rockers - 7/16 Stud - 1.6 Ratio
Rocker Arms, Stud Mount, Full Roller, Steel, 1.6 Ratio, Fits 7/16 in. Stud, Chevy, Small Block, Set of 16
COMP Cams Pro Magnum roller rocker arms combine the strength of 8650 chromemoly steel and the weight savings of aluminum rockers. COMP Cams took advantage of computer design to simulate the stresses that affect rockers under various operating loads. This allowed the engineers to lessen the rockers' mass at non-critical areas, and strengthen the areas that take the most punishment. The results were rocker arms that are strong where they need to be, and actually weigh 5 percent less at the valve than comparable aluminum rockers."
I'm almost certain that's the same set I'm running. Pretty sure I paid the same price.
It sounds like we both got a good deal. Most are around $300 shipped. Does anyone anyone have a good write up of the install, preferable with some pics? Please post the links.
Am I going to need new pushrods if I do just the 1.6's with patriot springs? I could check the length with a tool but how am I supposed to wait on ordered parts for a one day install on my daily driver?? Not sure if I'm doing the cam just yet.
Rick, you should buy new hardened pushrods to go with the non self-aligning rockers. If your heads have never been off, stock length (7.200) pushrods will work. Trickflow makes a nice/affordable set of Chromemoly pushrods.
Don't know if you've already ordered the springs. But, the Patriot 8401-BSBC's would work fine on your setup. The 8501 are more for high lift camshafts with very aggressive lobes.

I had a head gasket go bad about 2 years ago that I replaced with a better set of Fel Pro's. The heads were cleaned up and should have only been resurfaced. I'm guessing that should not change the pushrod length.? No? The Trickflow Chromemoly are the pushrods I was planning on ordering. I havent decided on the springs yet but I'm definately going with the Patriots. I was going to order the springs and cam at once from Lloyd. I just havent decided if I want to attempt the cam swap myself. If no then I'll probably order the springs and do just the rockers for now. If I do just the rockers at this time is there any harm in going with the 8501 springs for the RR install? It's only $25 difference and theres no sense in buying springs twice.
If you plan on eventually buying the camshaft from Lloyd. You may ask him about the springs. The 8401's will work will most aftermarket camshafts. I'm running the 8501's with Comps most aggressive cam lobe profiles. Some think the 8501's have too much spring pressure for a hydraulic camshaft. But, myself and another forum member have been running the 8501's for a few months without a problem.
More than likely the stock pushrod length will work fine in your car.
