700R4 Question..compatability
I know that the 700R4 from the Cameros and Trans Ams have a different gear ratio.
I tried the search feature and it did not like me.
Will a 700 from a camero or firebird work fine with my 90 model? I killed the 700 the other day and money is an issue.
What are the potential problems?

Clutch packs obviously varied according original application.
Trans will fit using Vette ext housing; output shaft is slightly longer.Some have had to trim shaft to fit; I did not have to do this.
Many desirible upgrades done in '88 , 88+ convertor has 30 splines does not fit on earlier 27 spline trans
Vette trans had different servo and modified shift settings but physically the same trans
