I’m assuming you have not put it into sleep mode.
There are 2 fuses for it. The radio fuse and the PKE fuse.
Make sure your dome light go out when you close the doors.
A good starting place is to verify the PKE lamp lights for 2 seconds when the key is turned on. This is a self test and an big indication of the health of the receiver.
If the PKE lamp does light normally I would try to re-program the receiver.
If the PKE lamp does not light, then try to go into programming mode. See if the lamp lights at the correct times. This would indicate there is some life in the receiver. If you can’t get any thing to happen, then there is a chance the PKE receiver is defective.
Try opening the rear hatch (if is a coupe).
Try to invoke the self test mode of the PKE receiver by connecting the proper pin at the ALDL connector.
Start with this, tell us what happens.
