They are easy to replace. Get the car up on jack stands and take the wheels off for the easiest access. I use anti-sieze on the bolts/threads when installing the new ones. You will be much happier years down the road when you need to change them out again. I just changed the 10 yrs. old shocks on my van (this thing has been through 10 Minnesota winters mind you) and the nuts/bolts came right off. I'm glad I used anti-seize on them 10 yrs. ago. Good Luck.

The rears are actually easier. Once the car is in the air and you are putting the new front shocks in, you may need to jack up under the hanging suspension to get the bottom bolts started. Should take you two hours or so.

Might have been the fronts, but I think I did the rears while the car was still wearing it's shoes, in a parking lot, no less. Too used to 4X4s, I guess. I did take the wheels off for the other two and it was almost too easy. Wish I had thought of anti-seize, but my '94 only sees Minnesota summers. :D

On the rears the upper end of the shock is attached to a small plate. The plate is attached to the car with two bolts. Take them out, take the lower nut off and off the come. I reattached the top first and then used a jack to raise the suspension to realign the lower end. The whole thing went smooth except I had to use a hack saw to cut one of the front shocks off. If not for that I think I would have spent more time putting the car on stands than I did on the shocks. Have fun.

On the rear, use a jack to take the pressure off the shock. It makes installation a breeze. The fronts were even easier.
