If I lit my car on fire lashing the valves while the car is running, I'd take the time to learn how to lash 'em as describe in the FSM. I learned how to do it myself, it took 5 tries to get it right, but no fires. And I'm a complete beginner.

Fire    How would you light it on fire?? Do you do adjustments with gasoline?? If you get oil to splatter out from your heads, you shouldn't have to worry THAT much about it catching on fire if it lands on your headers. It will just smoke off.

Read the entire thread . IMHO, it's just not that hard to learn how to do it the FSM way. If ya like smoke, fire and the mess, rock on :seeya

Here is a big tip though. You are suppose to warm your engine when using gunk. I did, but the manifolds were too warm. The car burst into flames, the hose then came in handy.
