When gettng on it, the 1-2 shift in my auto seems to wait for quite a while making the car feel like shes done pulling, then shifts and chirps hard to 2nd. It feels like im wasting a lot of time waiting on the shift. Whats the deal? Is everyone like this? sure would be nice if itd shift lower. :yesnod:
I think a shift kit, like TransGo, would help your shift. That assumes that your fluid/filter are OK and the TV cable is properly adjusted for correct line pressure.
Ya, it could be the shift kit but first try adjusting you TV cable. On mine i noticed that if the cable isnt adjusted right, the WOT shifts are messed up also. Try resetting your TV cable.
To reset: Where the cable is mounted near the throttle body, press the metal button(tab) in that is on the mount. Then swing the throttle arm through it's full travel. DONE
is that the cable (top one on the throttle arm) that runs through a small part with a button looking thing slightly recessed shaped like a D and it is a goldish color? Do i press the button, open it up, then release or what?

Press the button, then slide the toothed bar (the cable runs through the center of it) ALL the way back into the housing. You will know that you have it reset when you open the throttle up ALL THE WAY ((((engine off please)))) and you hear a ratcheting sound as the toothed bar slides out. This is the set point. Your tranney will/should shift at the proper points. Without this TV cable set at the proper point you could damage your traney. This cable controls the internal fluid pressures inside the trans. With out the pressure being correct you could slip your clutches and burn them up. :mad
