Default intro to NOS system

Hey guys, I own an 84 Corvette. I purchased this car @ 151k miles, odometer not working.
I have modifid fuel system, and intake to a performance based TPI.
The stock L83 piston compression is 9.0:1.
I also have begun using Mobil 1 synthetic.
the car has power to it.
compression test results were good. 130-145 lbs of pressure 10-15 varaiance between cylinders).
I am planning on adding Nitrous oxide and an Accel mastermind Nitrous contol system in car.
I am new to Nitrous.
some Q's.
1. is 125HP kit too big for my application or should I keep it between 75-100?
2. what safety issues should i be aware of?
3.what proceidures can I implement to keep the system safe?
4.Can NOS explode in summer time due to rising pressure?
5.Where would i go for refills?
6.any critical information I shoudl know of?
7. which brand is recommended? Is NOS good?

1) Wow. 125 is pretty Big. I would stay in the 75 range myself but hey, thats entirely up to you. Hopefully it will turn out in your favor whichever route you go.

2) Not really sure. You should not overload the motor with NOS like above. As long as you keep fuel in it, it should not detonate.

3) Not sure about that.

4) There is refill stations. You could google them for places in your area. Dont let them overfill the bottle though! That is a safety issue

6) Information is, if it is not used correctly, your motor will be blown. Make sure your system is up to par, installed correctly, have some gauges, make sure your bottle is secure, fuel system is in good working order ect.

7) I prefer NOS brand myself...That is just me though.

1. I run "nitrous" You can run up to a 200 shot! I do Butt I went over that It;s a stk. 88 Now I'M building a new engine ! Just get your feet wet first !!! I went & put 400 HP solenoids on It HP is a addict !!!

2. The bottles have a blow off valve !
on em, make sure you or the one installin the system! run the line outside the the car!!!

3. & 4. Is the same as 2.

5. I have my own fillin station! I was gettin em filled @ first by someone & I run a wet shot, I weighed the bottle after!!! it was 5lbs. short! so I bought my own setup which is about 1k. unless you put the pump on your bottles You only get About 2 mins.out of a bottle!! 1300lbs. full, & run to 900lbs. thats on a 10lb. bottle. I run 3 bottles!

6. Take it slow & watch for detonation Thats a lot of miles 151k mine had 47k.

7.I bought my kit off of Summit It was a 150 shot!! Yup NOS is good If you want any more info PM me!

Here's something I wrote a couple years ago. I don't agree with some of it anymore, but it should answer most of your questions.

I agree! you covered It all! I just push mine ! to the limits, I'M building a new engine just for nitrous, I learned the hard way, I believe it's called trial & error, I was told don't run over a 200 shot ! I knew It was goin to scatter! I was runnin a 225 shot ! on a stk ! 88 350. I have 3 bottles in the hatch ! I can just reach back & turn another bottle on when it gets low !! they go into a manifold !
