Default C4 Gathering at BG!!!

Hey guys,

The Bowling Green C4/ZR-1/Grandsport Gathering is coming up! We have a load of ZR-1 owners coming and signed up, but only one Grandsport and no Callaways, but more importantly, no C4s!!!!

WHAT UP BROS??????????????

I would love to see some stock or modified C4s get to BG this year and give some of these ZR-1s a run for their money! We have lots of modified C4s on this forum - lets get out and run them puppies! We are going to have drag racing at Beech Bend, both on wednesday AND thursday!!!! All day, both days!!! Impressive!

Here's the information - come on out and have some fun!

Get ready C4 owners for an event catering to lovers of the 4 th Generation Corvette! Open to all enthusiasts, the second event of the Museum's 2009 season offers C4/ZR-1 enthusiasts and all Corvette lovers a chance to see and do more than imaginable! This year's Gathering event looks at the test cars, concept cars and special editions that helped form the history of one of the longest running generations in Corvette history. The event offers new road tour excursions, a fun golf cart autocross, behind the scenes tour of the new expansion area, seminars, autocross, celebrity/peoples choice car show, live auction, a 1-day Gordon's School, banquet, and so much more.

The event begins on Thursday, May 14 with a road tour excursion to Western Kentucky and the heart of Bluegrass Music! Participants will tour the International Bluegrass Museum and enjoy lunch at world famous Moonlight BBQ. This drive your own Corvette excursion is limited to only 68 participants. For those who want to learn more about their C4 from the least technical maintenance to the most complex we offer in conjunction with Gordon Killebrew, a one day Gordon's school with hands on your own car. This is limited to 12 people only. Enjoy tours of the new expansion areas and experience the fun of our golf cart autocross to test your driving and listening skills, hint the driver is blindfolded! Be sure to pre-register to participate in the road tour or Gordon's School.

Friday's line-up offers participants a chance to enjoy many informative seminars in the Chevrolet Theater on a variety of topics and given by the top names involved in the 4 th generation Corvette. Among the invitees are Dave McLellan, Gib Hufstader, Gary Cline, Graham Behan, Jack Underwood, Fred Gallasch, Doug Rippie and more.

Pick up Corvette collectibles in the silent auction, commemorate your visit during the event group photo, take part in the Poker Run fun and show and shine in the Peoples/Celebrity Choice Car show - all part of Friday's fun. Gordon's trouble-shooting school will also be available throughout the day and we will wrap up the day's activities with a relaxing BBQ at the 1869 Homestead – home of NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode and wife Jan. Be sure to pre-register to participate.

Autocross at Trace Diecast jump starts the activities for Saturday, and this a must do for all enthusiasts. Pre-registration is required to be a part of the fun. You will want to put your savvy skills to work and use your cell phone or digital camera to participate in our Digital Scavenger Hunt. More informative seminars and a new scenic road tour of the Kentucky countryside are highlights of the day's festivities.

The Gathering Banquet will cap off the event and begin Saturday evening at the Museum's new Conference Center! Join us for a memorable evening as we unite with enthusiasts and celebrities and enjoy a great dinner and time to mix and mingle in the new facility. You must pre-register for this activity to participate. Seating is limited.

Registration is now open for the 2009 C4/ZR-1 Gathering and we look forward to your participation. Pre-registration ends at 5:00pm central time, May 3 rd. All pre-registered participants will receive a personalized event badge and a commemorative dash plaque as part of their registration! Register now to be a part of this memorable event here:

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Dwight, unless something has change and you know something I don't (and that is possible) all NCM DRAG RACING events for 2009 have been cancelled. It is not on the schedule.
This Corvette Forum is having drag racing at the cruise in but it has nothing to do with the NCM, it is totally separate.

Just trying to keep track of the events that include racing. I check for your threads in the drag racing section from time to time. I cant pre register for anything because the car is apart for paint and I'm not sure when I can get it together. I am making progress but work is keeping me busy.

Yep - the NCM didn't come through for us again! We arranged to have the drags on our own with the GN boys - and we can go anytime on wednesday or thursday, and it only costs $30! Pretty good deal really.
