Hello again, I was out bid on this item at ebay, now there is another just like it. Can you guys look at it, is this what I really want to program a 1988. Also, Glock you said check with about what kind of money it may be worth, unfortunatly I do not know him. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...ndexURL=0&rd=1
I've never seen that programmer before. You can get a brand new Pocket Programmer from XTronics for $139. This is a very popular programmer with the EFI crowd. If you can afford it, the Needham's EMP-10 is also nice, but it's $220.
you can get a Datarase eraser new for $50 or so. Pretty much any UV eraser will work though, so if you see one on ebay cheaper, then by all means get it.
I am new also and would like a list of all the parts and software needed to mod my own chips. I have the TTS software for viewing how the car is running (just got it). Any insite would be helpful.
Thanks

Welcome! The FAQ at the top of this section is a great place to start. I've outlined most of the common equipment and software that is needed to program chips.
Marcho, does the UV bulb show any light? I got a Datarase from a forum member and plugged it in, the "on" light came on, but nothing from the bulb. I just took a quick glimpse at the light to see if it worked, cause the UV can hurt ya
Also, have you had any experience with the Pocket Programmer? I have been looking at the EMP-10, but wanna buy it used to save $$$ and can't find any on ebay.
