HOW MANY HORSEPOWER WILL A STOCK 86 4+3 WILL HANDLE WITHOUT DESTROYING BY ITSELF... I NO THAT CALLAWAY AS 345 HP AND 4+3 COMBOS (FOR A FRIEND) WILL IT BE BETTER TO UPGRADE TO A 6 SPEED AT THE SAME TIME OF ENGINE SWAP AS HE WANT TO GO FOR A 383

There is no definite limit to the amount of torque that these transmissions can handle. HP doesnt break anything, torque does.

That said, there are rough estimates of where the stock transmissions are rated and it tends to be in the 400+ Tq range. It could last years or not even a month, it'll fail when it wants to fail.

Best you can do is make sure the OD unit is properly serviced and you have a good clutch.
