You can get them from DynoJet. The one here locally was somewhere in the 90,000 range and that was not including then computer equip needed to run it. Just a bit pricey :crazy:

We priced a dyno for our shop. i don't remember exactly what brand but it was the same one thats on horse power tv. Anyway it was 45k, of course not portable.

Check out Mustang Dynometers. They have a portable unit. If you use the true rear wheel horsepower numbers, the Mustang reads about 10% lower than a Dynojet. There is also a way that it will account for driveline loss of the rear axle which will give you inflated HP numbers. Some operators give these numbers out as true rear wheel horsepower numbers--they're not. Anyway...I can't find the website address right now, but I'm pretty sure they are less expensive than $90k.

I believe that horsepower Tv has a Dyno mite. I don't know the exact address, but Land and Sea sells them. I think you can get a 500hp one for around 20k. If you don't make mega power, this would probably be fine. The higher HP dynos aren't alot more.

i honestly didnt know what they cost. i figured if you had a portable unit you could make good $ at local car shows...hand out business cards..just a thought. after hearing the price of these i think it would take alot of $60.00 pulls to just break even. :confused: what do you mean mustang dyno?

i'm not sure what the prices are in my area...but i doubt anyone is payin $60 a pull. the price i hear most often is about $75 for 3 pulls..with a little tunin time in-between. i use mine for my own fun right now...its kind of an insurance policy...you know..walk in to work one day and tell em to take a flyin leap!! :seeya
