It has been mentioned by a forum member to "burp" the wires after
applying the dielectric grease to the boot ends. Has anyone ever heard
of doing this? If so, how is this done? Thanks
The theory behind burping is to get the trapped air out of the boot so it will not heat up and push the connector off like a little steam engine. I'd really like to hear some methods of accomplishing this myself, as I tried to use a piece of string once to let out the air and ripped the boot when I tried to pull it out. Redo's aren't fun or cheap!

A tool like this, often called a cotter pin remover http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/ta13800.html
can be used to hold the boot slightly open as you push, listen and feel for the terminal to click into place, if it does trapped air is not likely to push it back off. Use care to prevent tearing or puncturing the boot.
Using a minimal amount of dielectric grease also helps eliminate the need for burping.
I just squeezed mine so that they were a little oblong as I pushed them on, instead of making a tight seal against the terminal right away. Seemed to work just fine (that was 7,000 miles ago).
