battery grounding out
Not sure if this is the right place but I drove woo miles Friday and when I went to crank her the next day she would not turn over or even cut on a light. I raised the hood and the battery was touching the side of the car. When I moved it the lights came on and the car cranked. I had to do this two or three times while I was trying to find a place that could help me. I was out of town.
A Carquest in Jackson, MS finally was able to produce a rubber wedge shaped clamp that screw into the battery plate. I got it on but after leaving found that it was not tight enough to keep the battery from sliding. I drove it the 100 miles home when I stopped at a station and moved the battery again it did not want to start but finally did and made it home. I will fix the clamp but I want to kow if that could have damaged something that would cause me problems.
Any knowledge about this issue you can share will be appreciated.
