I'm having trouble getting these on the ball joints. I'm using Moog parts if that helps. Like all things there's just got to be an easier way to doing this than trying to force it on by hand.
What about trying a heat gun on it, I have mine apart now and am about to try it as I've never been able to slip my Moog dust caps over the ball either.

I'd just give Moog customer service a call. Maybe they have a suggestion or better yet that may be the way it is supposed to be. For a 100.00 a piece you'd think they would work better than this.

I tried that myself but there appears to be a metal ring inside the bottom of the boot.

I had the same issue on one I replaced with the Moog. I finally just gave up and keep it full of grease.
Thats what I did, I centered the boot over the ball and dropped the knuckle on it and it looks like the weight pushed it down enough to cover it. I will keep checking up on it just in case.
Yes I did try coating the inside with some oil but it didnt help and yeah I'm pretty sure theres a metal ring inside of it too. The uppers were pretty straightforward though, no ring in those. I came to the conclusion that there must be a special tool used to push them on. Thanks for the input.
