bogging everytime i accelerate!!!

Not to steal the thread with my problem but I am having the exact same problem as he is! But my cats gutted! So its can not be clogged. I am going to buy a new IAC and see if that helps. I also need a new fpr diaphram though......any ideas?

Could it be so that mufflers are clogged up, or the main cat, or is that one gutted as well?

Sounds like the timing is screwed up. I'd make sure the base timing is set correctly, etc.

I have an 86 vette that had been in storage for at least 5 years before I got it. The tank got cleaned out and replaced the fuel pump. Now when driving the car will eventually bog down and loose power when driven normally or hard. If I pull over and turn the vehicle off, unscrew the gas cap, it sucks in a large breath. replace the cap and it will drive fine for a while again.

Am I experiencing a venting issue?
