LS1 springs?
I have an 86 (aluminum head) that needs some attention.
I am about to do some work to it, and included in that work is new valve seals. The car has 220k km on it, so I am going to throw out the old springs.
Just realized I have a set of factory LS1 springs (from my old firehawk - from years past). These only have about 15k km's on them before I removed them.
Would these work on the 113 heads with a mild flat tappet cam? specs I have found seem to indicate they would.
Cam that will be used - Crane Cams 113942
0.454 in.
0.480 in.
Also be using 1.6 ratio comp pro mag rollers (so a little higher lift).
seems stock ls1 springs are 75 pounds seat pressure, 250 pounds open, .528 lift.
thoughts?
