Default Ebay Motors Discount

Call me a stick in the mud but I havent switched to the new Ebay Motors format yet. I recieved an email coupon for 15% off Parts and accessories if I change over.

Guess what? Merle has his Exotic Muscle headers listed on Ebay for $771, which is normal retail. If Ebay picks up 15% of it, it puts the cost at $655 plus shipping!

I want headers but shouldnt buy them right now, financially as well as the need yet. I just hate to let this deal pass by.

What do yall think, da** the consequences and jump on the deal or remain calm and let this $115 discount go by?

Buy now, pay later. You'll have until the end of April. Go for it. They'll make your car faster.

Well thats 1 each. Having parts lay around isnt an issue with me. I have a 4 year Jeep CJ project and most everything I need to complete it here at the house and I work on it until it pi**es me off and may not touch it again for a couple of months. I have sworn however that I should not spend any money on the Vette until I complete the CJ. I am going to rebuild the L98 and maybe replace the 4+3 with the Keisler 5 speed at a later date but other than keeping it running right now, thats all I am going to spend.

I think I am having pre Buyers Remorse like I always do before spending a chunk of change. I was also looking at the Vette Tech header but after reading how much trouble folks are having with fitment, I keep coming back to Merles product. The one offered also has the 1-3/4" ports and O2 and AIR bungs.

More input fellers, I pretty much figure the votes will go for the purchase. I intend to buy headers anyway, just hadnt planned on right now. As stated I have until April to make up my mind, so a few more days of stewing over it and I will make up my mind.

I always buy parts I don't immediately need when the price is good. My EWP, Opti, and Timing Chain sat on the shelf for a year probably before installing. The only concern I have is the warranty or return period expiring but that should not be an issue with new headers. EM has forum group-buys every couple of months. There may even be one going on now. I love my EM headers. Only you know what you should do with your money and when. Go for it when the price is right and you are able.

I just read about the Jeep. Not a big jeep fan so I think I'd let that wait.

If you know you have the money great, but if you are being risky, don't ever risk anything on a toy, they are replaceable.... credit record is harder to replace.
IMHO only

Yeah I just read the fine print and the coupon is indeed only good for $100 max and thats a little let down. With the coupon instead of a group buy, Merle at least gets all his money and the billion dollar company pays back some of what I have paid them over the last couple of years. I guess putting it on a card isnt too bad, I just usually pay cash for everything. I will need all my cash for a job coming up to buy material and pay my guys so its going on a card for now. I will pay it off with my next draw in May and it wont kill me on the interest. So its off to Ebay to buy a set of Merle's LTHs. Thanks for the input guys!
