93 code reading
Does the paperclip trick work with a 93? #4 to #12 I just need to clarify this. I have a 93 with 60k miles and the check engine light came on while driving on the freeway. I think it the O2 sensors throwing a lean or rich code on a particular bank. I just got this car and I'm new here. I was a mechanic for a long time but never worked on too many vettes.

93 uses the 12 pin connector and pins are identified by letter not number, see this link.

I have a 94 LT1 that does this sometimes. I use Datamaster to scan for error codes and other things. The EGR crap will throw a DTC every now and then. Since the Factory Manual mentions that this is a recurring problem, I've quit worrying about it. IF the light comes on while driveing down the road, and it DOESN'T come on the next time you start the car-the best thing to do (for me) is to forget it.
