Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting? Car starts fine....drive a bit then stop...NO START (sounds like dead battery). Wait a bit (car cools down) starts no problem.?????????????????????????????
Do you have headers? Sounds like the starter is heat soaking and requires cooling down. A hot starter will require more current. Make sure the charging system is operating properly (as someone else already mentioned). Battery, alternator etc. It is possible the true culprit of the problem is being masked just because the motor/starter is warm. Just a suggestion.
elkabong hit on something, I have seen similar situations with starters failing when they get hot. you can try cooling only the starter (maybe hard to do) or paralleling another battery to see if that will kick it. if the engine turns over but will not start then you probably have an electronic problem. have you checked for error codes?
