Default LT1 Engine code Galore

Checked the codes on my 92 and my dads 93 today, both LT1's. My 92 didnt have any prooblems just the standard code 12. But on my dads 93 it seems like I got bombarded by codes. I had checked the codes on the 93 before the winter and cleared them the I checked them today.

Today 93LT1

There was NO code 12?

Module 1

Code 13 (DIC Switches Error) ???

Module 4

Code 16 (OptiSpark Low Resolution) ???
Code 43 (EST Knock Sensor Circuit Error) ???
Code 44 (Left Oxygen Sensor Lean)

Module 9

Code 31 (RR Wheel Speed Sensor Error)

Before the winter 93

Module 1
Code 13, 74
Module 4
Code 44, 64
Module 9
Code 31, 62, 72

He always has the ASR light on which I assume is due to the code 31, due to all the engine codes it looks as though the car might have a lot of problems, maybe some of the codes that were there before the winter just haven't had time to appear as he has not driven the car much. The car has about 70xxx on it and runs/drives with out a problem. He bought the car about a year ago and has put less than 5xxx miles on it. I dont have the FSM fixing the problems looks as though its gonna be a little difficult.

As long as the car is currently running well, and the SES light is not illuminating try a battery disconnect to clear current codes then recheck it after running for awhile. (the ABS codes will not clear)
Inspect the RR wheel speed sensor connector and wiring and make sure the tone wheel is not damaged or clogged with debris.
Since the car is not required for daily transportation, use that to your advantage and order the FSM so you have what you need to troubleshoot if the codes return.
Engle1147 has a good deal in the C4 Parts for sale section right now.

The general rule when you have multiple codes is to troubleshoot the lowest numbered code first, once it is resolved clear the codes to see if the others return, if they do continue using the above rule.
