Default Throttle Sticking

OK, this is a first...my throttle started to stick at WOT on my LT4 for the first time today....it did it twice...back to back and I had to shut her down both times to assess the situation. It wasn't the accelerator pedal assembly itself...it just kept winding up after I mashed on the pedal even after I got out of it. I couldn't recall the rev limiter being hit either.....any ideas?

2 possibilities; either the cable is binding, or the throttle plate itself is binding against the throttle body. If I were you, I'd go ahead and take the throttle body off the car and clean it really well, as well as lubing the cable. The TB is easy to remove; take off the rubber air duct, remove the throttle cable connection and the few vacuum hoses that attach, and remove the 4 bolts holding it on. Also, if you haven't done the coolant by-pass modification for the TB, now would be a good time.

also, on my l98 car, I had a similiar problem. My throttle body had a bind in the shaft. Also my TB shaft spring, was weak, so I added a throttle return spring to the throttle lever, on the throttle body. Made the gas pedal stiffer.
Also I noticed, I had slop in the trottle shaft bushing, in the throttle body. I finally found what was causing a higer idle, during stops. This is another common problem.
