On an 86 L98/700R4, does the TV adjustment to lower the shift point adjust in or out?
Right now, at full throttle, my 86 does not want to shift until 6k+ rpm...which is way to high for an L98. Any insight would be great.

The cable alters line pressure, and the line pressure affects the governor. Governor controls shift points.
The tv cable has only 1 correct position. Check the shop manual for adjustment procedure. If adjusting it fixes your problem, you are set. If not, then look to the governor for your problem.
