Its my first one and it will be my last post on it. I got into a discussion early with some co- works. They asked me what I expect to run in the 1/4 mile. And I wasn't sure. What’s your guess with and without Nitrous?
Basically I buddy is taunting me into a race (on a official track). He has a 2005 GT V8 with a cold air intake, Full suspention work, Headers/Exhaust, 4.10 gears, and on 20s. He says he runs 12.5. He stock otherwise.

I hope it runs good whatever it does because I have almost the exact same setup as you. Although I have not been to the track with the new cam yet and my heads wont be ported until later this year.

The last new Mustang I raced at the track was in 2007. I beat two of them pretty bad. They were both stock from what I could tell and I was not spraying. I believe they were both running very low 14's. I don't think your buddy has a chance. IMO

With your setup, I figure you'll be pushing mid 12s without nitrous and low 12s to high 11s with it, but you still have more power to be had from your motor. Have you tried running a 52mm TB instead of 58 to see if you need all of that air? I think your cam has low enough lift to get away with it. Your exhaust may be too big as well but that's a whole other topic altogether.

We have very similar set up. Im able to run 12.5 all day long. I did obtain a 12.2 and a 12.3 on the same day as my best runs. My gear is 3.73 and 2400 stall. I recently added a 2800 vigilanti which should gaurantee me a 11 sec ticket. Hopefully it doesnt cost me my dana 33. With a 3200 stall you should hit 11s and with 100 shot 11.3 Your gonna need sticky tires though to get good times.
Mid to low 12's. Depends on the driver and state of tune. Nitrous and no blown engine, mid 11's.
I'm by no means an expert, but my thought is that a little more gear might be worth a couple tenths too. Does that LE2 package include heads and do those tires hook with absolutely no spin? If so, that may change my guess to very low 12s. But then again, SO much depends on the tune being right, it's hard to guess. Even on an OK tune, I doubt the mustang described will give you much of a fight. Assuming he's being honest about what's done to it, which is never a safe assumption where I'm from. Especially when it comes to Mustang guys.
Let us know how that D36 holds up though, it sounds like I'm not the only one with a personal interest in knowing how hard you can 60 foot one of these.
I know Im pressing the limits with the D36. Im going to keep it easy on it until I have solid play backup funds again. My weak points are tranny and rear. Plus I have to tweak my suspension to get the tires down better.
