89 FSM question
I have the 89 Red FSM for my vette. Is it one book or are their 2 books?

Should be a 2 book set. The second book will have electrical diagnosis and wiring diagrams and electrical component locators.
Some other years had the second book contain driveability and emissions diagnostics along with the electrical stuff.
The second book may be labeled as "supplement" or simply "Book 2".

There is only one book - There is a small Electrical Supplement that should come with it which you will want to study because it updates all of the electrical changes that went into the '89 and those changes are not in the Manual. Also when you start finding wires to nowhere (such as at the Fuel Pump), pull out and study the Body Schematics which fold out at the rear. Anything labled LT5 will explain the wire that you can't figure out. The '89 harness included the ZR1 wiring and it is only shown in those fold out schematics
The Manual will become a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and maybe more, because it will fall apart the second or third time you open it . In fact, I'm on my second "New" which is now in 3 or 4 parts with the original scattered into to 10 or more pieces. Also, the only thing available now are reprints - originals had color schematics. Regardless of what you have, there are several additional errors (such as the install of the intake gaskets) all of which were corrected by Service Bulletins.
