Default Need help finding part number for headlight control unit

I am not getting the voltage at pins A and B and need to find a replacement but I haven't had any luck finding a part number or by searching "headlamp control unit" or "headlight control unit" on acdelco.com or some other gm parts sites. This is for a 1988. Note, this is different than the "relay" on the 87. The picture is below.

BTW, if I apply 12 volts directly to the green and gray wires on the actual headlamp motor, eleminating the control unit all together, why would the lamp not rotate? At any rate, I'm not getting 12 volts to A and B when the switch is pulled so I'll need a new control unit.

16521297 is the most current part number I believe. The original number was 16510537. I can't help you with the diagnostics though!

I'm wondering...since the passenger side works, could I jump the green and grey wires from the passenger side motor to the driver's side?

this thread is old but I have the same exact issue. I'm considering jumping the driver side of the module to the passenger side

what did you wind up doing?

Check for voltage at the motor..if no voltage @ the motor trace the wire back to the module and check for voltage there in case the wire has an issue.....if no voltage is present on the wire at the module get a replacement module. Those modules (head light door actuator module) are all over flEabay for $40. FYI: they are the same module used from 88-96
