HOW MUCH DOES ED WRIGHT USUALLY CHARGE FOR AN UPGRADE ON A CUSTOM CHIP?
I am needing to have my Ed wright chip updated pretty soon. When I purchased the chip, I could have sworn that they told me $100 for an upgrade. I called a couple of days ago, and they told me $150 bucks!!!!!!
Seems pretty outrageous to me...... Has anyone had their chip upgraded? If so how much did you pay?

I called him today about a custom chip..$$350 for the custom and $150 for any reburning of the chip...If you got the chip that was $159 I was told they couldnt upgrade that one it had to be one of theyre custom chips.

IT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF ECM/PCM YOU HAVE!!! USUALLY AROUND $150 FOR A CHIP OR $300-350 FOR A PROGRAMED CUSTOM CHIP!!!

I had my Ed Wright custom program updated in October of 2000 and I paid $150, that was back when I was still using chips for my '92. Not sure when Ed did your first chip, but they have not increased prices in a while.

He just quoted me $500 for a custom tuned chip for my supercharged '92. Is that high??

Yep, I believe that was dyno-tuned. Sounds like a fairly good price to me if it'll be tuned over the course of multiple runs..

Forum member, gears, had his `95 dyno tuned. They did two runs stock. Then three more runs, adjusting the program in between each run. Ended up getting about 13rwhp and the temp never gets about 185 deg.
