Lets Talk 383 Combos...Scat VS Eagle VS ????
Ok..what is the best 383 (or 396) combo for an LT 4 bolt...We will be running ported stock LT4 heads and intake, upgraded fuel delivery....and cam...the goal is a truly streetable 425-450 HP. Exhaust ...aftermarket headers and cats....Everyone says their cast cranks are good to 500 hp...I am not afraid of going forged...would the cushion would be worth it...What is the scoup.

SCAT seem to get a few more votes in the public forums.
450Hp seems to be a more suitable limit for cast steel cranks.If you have the $$ and are going to be running near the margin , spring for the security of the forged crank.
You know you are going to want to make more than 450Hp eventually; Hp is addictive
