Default Where to buy correct motor mount 85' C4

I had brought a motor mount from NAPA, but it is clearly not right for this car.

I've also checked a few other auto parts store websites and they all show a mount that looks like this.

The one on the car is more round in shape and has a only 2 mounting point locations and not 4 as the part shown does.

Strange.

Maybe this car has a later model C4 front subframe or engine cradle?

There is just no way I could see that mount working on this car.

I think I once again found the answer to my question.

I looked up a 94' C4 on napaonline.com

And found this.

This is what the car has on it.

Guess I needed to do a little more searching

This car must have the newer style engine cradle for sure.

if you want, Send me a PM with your email and I will take a pic of my mount and the frame and email it to you, my engine is out right now.

I cant imagine how your 85 would not have the same mount.

My guess is this car has been in an accident and has 94' and up front frame on it.
How else do you explain that it has the newer style engine mount?

I can't see any evidence of an accident, whoever did the work did real good with it minus the newer style subframe.

I would be obvious that the mount is one style or the other.

I wonder if you have the wider shock towers, if so, that's a good thing for bolt on coil over shocks

Good luck!
