Default Could I mount these shocks...

I have a set of coil overs sitting that I need to install on my 1996 LT4 Z51.
I know I need to move the front swaybar forward, and to move the rear shock mounts too, but I do not really have the time for a major project right now.
I think that my shocks (which might still be the original ones…) or going a bad, so I am thinking, Could I replace my stock shocks with the Coil over shocks alone, as a direct swap?

Then later on, when I have the time, I can mount the coil springs, modify what needed and remove the leaf springs.

Is there something that prevents me from doing this?

I am still not sure of the brand on the shocks, but they are adjustable (FX3) and do not have the sleeve on them…Should be from amazone speed and marine, the coils read “ Carrera”.

I don't see why not.
The shock is only a shock with mountings for the spring.
Obviously the ride is going to be determined by the rate of the replacement shocks

If they say Carrera on the side, they are probably the threaded QA1's. I know QA1 has a line of shocks called "Carrera" at least...

And I don't see any problem with doing shocks now, springs later. Shocks are shocks.

I don't agree, shocks are not shocks. If they are valved to work with coil overs you may be better off just leaving your current setup on until you can do it right.
