Ordered a 383 kit from Powerhouse in Bakersfield, CA 4 weeks ago. I'm rebuilding my son's 87 convertible. Meanwhile block is waiting at machine shop for final honing. Powerhouse tried to ship me a 8" balancer and 168-tooth flywheel (standard 400" external balance stuff) with the rest of the kit. I told them I needed small balancer and 153-tooth flywheel for L98 Vette motor. Long story short, they can't make up a kit! Last time I use a source recommended in Hot Rod Mag. Anyway, since I can't find the thread, where are people buying the stroker kits, preferably already balanced. I'll be assembling the engine myself. Thanks for quick reply-I've already lost 4 weeks.

It looks like they sell a lot of kits like you want so maybe able to help you with what you nead.
Thanks for the info. I got a great deal fron SCAT. Forged pistons, 6-inch rods, cast crank good to 600 HP. Apparently the 6-inch rods require adding very little, if any, mallory metal to the crank.
