I have a 87 corvette and no matter what i do i can not stop the mass air flow sensor code from coming up. The car runs great until that darn check engine light comes on and then it seems to bogg way down. The light does not stay on, it may be on when i start the car it may not be on, it comes on at times when i am just driving. If anyone else has had this problem please help. Thanks
i am a 54 year old woman and i am not sure what you are talking about. Is the MAF relays behind the battery and called burn off relays? I have replaced the ECM. I was told that I needed a factory orginial parts mass air flow sensor and I paid 350.00 for one from Ecklers and it seemed to work for about a week and then went back to its little fits.

Un plug MAF and see if it runs better. I do this first when doing MAF related stuff. If im having a MAF issue, unplugging will help me diagnos the problem. Good Luck
Mike, My car will not even pull out until the temp. reachs operating temp, when I start to let the clutch out, I have the 4-3 the car just dies and it doesnt matter how high I reeve it, the poor thing dies until it warms up then it will go. I have unplugged the MAF and it seems to do a little better but not alot.
