i have an 89 vette and on the dash where you switch between fuel MPG/instant rate my reading stay at 99mpg and 10 instant? now it would be nice at 99 mpg but we all know that it is wrong..haha just woundering if there is an easy fix or something major.i also tried to reset and went back to doing the same thing.
The "math" is done by the ECM. Does the speedo work? If your getting some type of reading then you may have a connection problem before, in, or after the cluster or an ECM problem.
You can try to reseat the connectors on the ECM & instrument cluster to see if that helps. Got any other cluster/ECM related problems that might help to narrow it down further?
