If you are running uncoated headers, the heat will kill the plastic. A lot of guys use a metal aftermarket booster.

I have had an autozone for 4 yrs w/no trouble, is it cracking in the same spot?
You might have a missing heatshield.

Don't lean on your master cylinder either. (Common sense but sometimes may be uncommon.)

I was told...if your Master Cylinder is leaking Brake Fluid from the Rear Seal; behind the mount, it can enter the Booster and that causes it to crack. I just recently did both on my '86... Booster first, as it had cracked.

That's weird I never heard or read in books this happening. Some people switch to the metal ones as mentioned about.
We're all curious, where are they cracking? And how long does it take before they crack? There has to be a logical answer to this. What's AutoZone have to say about this?

Autozone sells the crappy Cardone brand. I went through 2 in a year. Do yourself a favor, spend an extra $100 and order a PBR through Ecklers.

Very common. I had the same problem, heat is the culprit. Either put some epoxy over the crack and deal with the eyesore or get an aftermarket metal booster(not much more $ than the plastic one).

Heat is the reason why.
You should go to a metal booster.
