thats all at this time
so the procharger was a kit for the LS1 equipped (C5) corvette and you got it to work with the c4?
what's the reason that you've decided to go with an automatic?
****edit***********
how did you work out the engine harness, does your stock gauge cluster work with the current swap or did you go with aftermarket gauges?
the engine mount plate that you used, does it allow you to use the standard small block chevy engine mounts or did you "solid mount" the engine?

you are right the T5 transmission from a Camaro 1990
I used GMC pick up 1987 bellhousing, and 1998 Camaro clutch set
- transmission tail bracket fabricated at home, same as the one on the photos. (I have not take photo of my own)
- clutch master cylinder - for corvette C4 the orginal one,
- Clutch Slave Cylinder- for GMC Pick-up 1992 (iron)
"so the procharger was a kit for the LS1 equipped (C5) corvette and you got it to work with the c4? "
[B][B]thats right, it was on my brother 1998 Indy500 Corvette C5, I bought from him:yesnod[B]"what's the reason that you've decided to go with an automatic?"I think the T5 Transmission Capacity not enough for my Project
because two days ago the 2nd gear broke,
when testing the car,I am thinking right now to install a ZF transmission but I am in doubt
about the conversion with the bellhousing,
I saw one project on this forum but its not clear enough for me, if you have any idea and you can help me will be appreciated.
"how did you work out the engine harness, does your stock gauge cluster work with the current swap or did you go with aftermarket gauges?"
the engine harness I did it my self I cut and take off unwanted wires and fixed it on the engine,
I use none VATS ECM- I use EFILiVE programmer for tunning
- I used aftermarket gauges,
- I still use the standard small block chevy engine mounts
thanks for investigation

the truck you took the bell housing from was a 4.3L v6 s-10? or do you mean a full size truck with the v8's?
the transmission you are using is a "non-world class" T-5 (I believe), and those things are VERY weak (obviously you found this out).
tremec makes two transmissions (5-speeds) that will work for your power level and application (if you want to keep the car as a 5-speed and not an automatic).
they are TKO-500 and TKO-600 (the number stands for the amount of torque they are rated for, so basically "TKO-500" means it can handle 50o tq).
I am impressed that the bell housing and the shift fork had enough travel to disengage the clutch pressure place considering the fact that the bell housing is a truck bell housing, the clutch set is a 98' camaro set, and the slave is out of a truck as well. Some vendors spend a great deal of time making sure that the master cylinder has enough capacity to fully engage/disengage the slave cylinder etc. Not to mention the fact that the "inlet" shaft is also the proper length. etc.
check out zfdoc.com he is in the process of adapting an LS-x engine to the Zf-transmission. Interesting project, the absolute guru of ZF transmissions! This is definately the guy to "go to".
there is a tremec dealer here on the corvette forum who also sells TKO-500/TKO-600 transmission conversion kits for Corvettes! I believe his screen name is also Tremec (I am not completely sure). But he would be a good source for you as well!
I cannot find anyone that can help me with a Ls swap in a c4.
I have been looking for a couple of years now. I know there was something in one of the vette mags, But i seem to have misplaced it in my move.
BTW great swap and looks awsome. Just really need info on install w/o supercharger.
Thanks
I can give you the song list on the CD that is half-ejected out of the player if you like

Joe,
you are right I think its your Car Bracket I Used it to show it to the members how its look like only, its the same one I fabricated,
and at that time I did not have a photos of my own bracket so I used yours
When I first came on here, I said it should be pretty straight forward to put a T5 in a C4 to replace the 4+3. Everyone flamed me and said it cannot be done. They said it was a "pipe dream"..
Your car is nice. Get some paint on it and some track time.

but a question, if you used 98 camaro t-5 clutch stuff the 90 trans has a 27 spline input but didnt the 98 camaro v-6 t-5 use 11 spline or something like that?
I ran 11s at 120mph on a T5 for many years. T5's are broken by 16 year old drivers who don't shift properly. I never had a problem.
For the last 2 seasons I owned my fbody, I ran a RAM 6 puck ceramic clutch, and 26" drag radials. The few seasons before that I ran the same RAM style clutch and 26" slicks.
Once I finally sell my C4, I'll probably buy a mid 70s C3 to make into a low 11 second street/strip car. I'll probably run 3.73s and a T5..
