New spark plug wires... Blue Max. The end of the spark plug is VERY close to the header... may the thickness of a couple of credit cards.
I need to fix this... suggestions?
Thank you!
Don't know about a fix, but I used a couple of zip ties to move plug wires away from metal parts. BTW, the zip ties are still attached after about four years on my daily driver.
You might need to buy those insulated plug wire header socks to protect the wire, too. If it's arcing, isn't the wire already considered compromised, though?

I had not heard of these 'socks' before. Interesting.
New wires shouldn't be arcing even if it's touching metal. Pull the plug and check for any signs of cracking on the white insulator or if the tip is loose. A cracked insulator will allow current to pass from the center conductor to ground.

They're called "KoolSox." You can find them at speed shops and specialty performance stores. I've also seen them online at Mid America Motorworks (MAM).
I bought a set of those "premium" blue max wires from NAPA and my exhaust absolutely cooked them. I put a set of cheap $20 autozone wires and havent had any problems since
