This is for my sons 88 Fiero GT 2.8L V6. (47k original miles) Sorry, this is unrelated to C4 Vettes but, the help here is Great.
His 88 Fiero GT died coming off the freeway today. He said it kind of sputtered before it died. When he stopped, he said the engine started fine and idled good but, when he put it in Drive it immediately died.
Fuel pressure is #45, fuel injectors are new Bosch II from FIC. Engine is very well maintained. Auto Transmission shifts great. Thanks.
It sounds expensive. What's all involved in fixing the Lockup-converter? Does the entire transmission have to be replaced?
I dont know $hit about fiero. But I have had some experiences with other pontiac tranny's. On some I believe you may be able to un plug and still drive. But with crappy mileage. On some you can pull the cover and its right there. Good luck. Maybe Pete K will chime in.
