Vats 46 code
Anyone familiar with a vat 46 code?
My car starts but then dies.
I tore the dash apart b
ut im not sure which box is the vats module because i had a small module velcroed on another module.
I see you can buy a bypass module has anyone tried it?

Have you tried cleaning the key properly? That resistor pellet needs to be cleaned first. Then use a Q-tip soaked with brake cleaner and try to clean the inside where the key would slide into.

If the engine starts it is not VATS. But to get any real help you need to say what year it is or would be helpful if profile is filled out. Codes mean different things in different years.
I would start looking at fuel system and fuel pressure. Does it re-start right away?
Sounds like the Velcro pieces are the PKE receiver and chime box. If thats the case your not close to VATS. VATS is in the CCM with circuitry up the steering column.
